Frequently Asked Questions
About Roots to Rays in New York

I want to make sure you have answers to any questions you may have. With that said, here are a list of some commonly asked questions regarding my practice. I’m here to help so if you don’t see your question here, use the Contact Us! button bellow!

How often do therapy sessions take place?

I see clients on a weekly basis until they’ve reached their goals and have built the skills needed to manage their symptoms on their own.  Clients who participate in therapy consistently and more frequently see better outcomes and even though some people will see results in just a few sessions, sticking with therapy for at least 3 months will help you sustain change for the long-term.  We will tailor therapy to your needs and my practice is to check-in throughout the process to make sure we are moving in the direction that feels right for you.

Do you offer in-person or online therapy?

We offer both and together, we can decide what would be most beneficial for you.  Our office is conveniently located at 111 N. Central Ave, Suite 260 in Hartsdale, NY.

What are your therapy rates?

$200 for an individual session (45-60 minutes)

$235 for a Couples or Family session (60-75 minutes)

Do you take insurance?

I accept Aetna, Cigna, Optum, Oscar, and UBH for therapy sessions.  Even if your insurance carrier isn’t listed here, you can still be reimbursed if your plan has out-of-network coverage. If interested, we will provide you with a superbill to submit to your insurance for direct reimbursement after each session.

What’s your therapy cancellation policy?

We require 24 hours’ notice for cancellation. If you are doing in-person sessions and are unable to come into the office, you have the option of switching to an online session so as not to lose momentum.

If you or your child start to feel sick more than 24 hours before our appointment, let us know and we’re happy to take you off the schedule and find a better time to meet! It’s a lot easier for us to fit in another client who needs to meet when you give us enough advanced notice.

If your therapist is sick or cancels, you won’t be expected to pay for that missed session.
