Up From The Concrete
Women's Group

In honor of Women’s History month as well as a deep desire to provide space for storytelling and connection, I am so excited to announce the launch of “Up From the Concrete”, a group experience specifically for women in their 40s who grew up in NYC. The story of who I am is rooted in being a child from a large Puerto Rican family living in the Lower East side during the 80s and 90s – the external environment, its influence on my family, and the way we moved through it all with the support of cultural resilience was beautifully complex. It’s an experience simultaneously all my own and also shared in many ways by so many others. Amid all the chaos around us, it means everything to come together and to build a collective story of strength that can anchor us as we move forward!

This experience will offer an opportunity for a small group of women to build community with one another through reflective exercises aimed at exploring who we are in the context of culture, family, place, and time and it won’t stop there! I see this as part 1 that will serve as a primer for Part 2, where participants will have an opportunity to build skills aimed at strengthening relationship dynamics and self-perception.

If you are interested in Part 1 of Up From the Concrete, running Sundays April 12th to May 3rd via Zoom, please register here: https://lnkd.in/eUzQ22sS
